On 4 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, received a courtesy call by H.E. Ivana Golubović-Duboka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Republic of Indonesia and ASEAN. The meeting reaffirmed the continued aspiration of the National Assembly of Serbia to pursue Observer status with AIPA and reflected a shared commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial engagement.

The exchange also highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation in advancing dialogue, deepening mutual understanding, and contributing to peace, stability, and cooperation in an increasingly complex global environment.
