Intern Vacancy

The AIPA Secretariat Attachment Program is an internship opportunity for final-year students or fresh graduates across the ASEAN region and beyond. This program is designed to give practical experience and first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment on a wide range of AIPA activities.

The AIPA Secretariat offers an attachment program in various areas and working units, including the Directorate of Committees, Directorate of Stakeholders’ Engagement and Resource Mobilization, Directorate of Finance and Administration, as well as Directorate of Information & Communication Technology.

As part of the team, interns will be allowed to attend the AIPA meetings, participate in workshops and seminars, and contribute to the analytical and administrative work of the AIPA Secretariat. Interns will also receive monthly remuneration and a certificate of completion at the end of the attachment program.

The AIPA Secretariat invites you to be part of a 4-month internship program (February – May 2025), where you can work with a dynamic team and expand your professional network within ASEAN! The attachment program will be conducted on-site at the AIPA Secretariat Office in Jakarta, Indonesia. This position offers potential employment opportunities at the AIPA Secretariat.

 

We are looking for:

  1. Multimedia Intern under the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). 
  2. Intern under the Directorate of External Stakeholders Engagement and Resource Mobilization.
  3. Intern under the Directorate of Committees.

General Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High self-commitment to work in the dynamic team and fast paced working environment;
  • Fluency in oral and written English;
  • Ability to write effectively and creatively;
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write and speak clearly;
  • Eager to learn and grow professionally;
  • Ability to work as a team and individually;
  • Possess excellent networking skills;
  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Proficient in operating systems such as Windows (Microsoft) and Macintosh (Apple);
  • Familiar with office productivity suites like Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.

Specific Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Final-year student or recent graduate in Media, Communication, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or related fields.
  • Graphic Design and Video Editing:
  • Experience with design graphic tools such as: Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva and Capcut.
  • Proficient in video editing tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and CapCut, to produce high-quality, engaging content.
  • Knowledge of audio editing.
  • Camera Proficiency:
  • Experience in operating DSLR & mirrorless.
  • Familiarity with lighting equipment and techniques for different environments.
  • Creative Vision:
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas.
  • Keen eye for detail, color grading, and composition.
  • Portfolio:
  • Must provide a demo reel or portfolio showcasing previous video production and editing Art-work.

General Qualifications & Requirements:

  • University graduates with a degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Global Governance, Law, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum one year of relevant working experience, which may include internships, volunteer programs, or part-time roles in relevant fields
  • strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other ASEAN languages is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt effectively to a dynamic, multicultural, and international workplace.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proactive attitude, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.

Specific Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience or familiarity with project management processes, including planning, coordination, and implementation of activities.
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and well-structured reports.
  • Ability to develop visual materials, presentations, and infographics using tools like Canva or other relevant software.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to support projects and reporting.
  • Proficiency in developing concept notes, project proposals, and other related documents.
