Intern Vacancy
The AIPA Secretariat Attachment Program is an internship opportunity for final-year students or fresh graduates across the ASEAN region and beyond. This program is designed to give practical experience and first-hand impression of the day-to-day working environment on a wide range of AIPA activities.
The AIPA Secretariat offers an attachment program in various areas and working units, including the Directorate of Committees, Directorate of Stakeholders’ Engagement and Resource Mobilization, Directorate of Finance and Administration, as well as Directorate of Information & Communication Technology.
As part of the team, interns will be allowed to attend the AIPA meetings, participate in workshops and seminars, and contribute to the analytical and administrative work of the AIPA Secretariat. Interns will also receive monthly remuneration and a certificate of completion at the end of the attachment program.
This batch’s attachment program will offer two (2) positions:
- Attachment Officer under Directorate of Committees and Directorate of External Stakeholders’ Engagement
- Attachment Officer under Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
The attachment officers will work onsite at the AIPA Secretariat Office in Jakarta from 1 August – 30 November 2024 (4 months internship period). He/She will assist and support their respective directorate.

Specific Qualification and Requirement for Attachment Officer under Directorate of Committees and Directorate of External Stakeholders’ Engagement
- Final year student or fresh graduate in Humanities, International Relations, Law, Political Science, Social Science, or any related major;
- Ability and/or experience to conduct a research and provide substantive as well as administrative support;
- Experience in project management is considered as an advantage.
Specific Qualification and Requirement for Attachment Officer under Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Final year student or fresh graduate in Media, Communication, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or any related major;
- Posses computer skills and knowledge of various software, including:
- Operating systems (e.g. Windows, Macintosh)
- Office productivity suite (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace)
- Experience or ability in graphic designing and video editing, including the ability to use relevant software such as:
- Adobe (e.g. Illustrator, Indesign, After Effect, Photoshop, Premier)
- Canva
- Knowledge or proficiency in website management, including the ability to demonstrate:
- WordPress installation
- CMS (Content Management System) entry data for Mobile and Website Applications
- Configuration of basic settings (e.g., permalinks)
- Installation of essential plugins (e.g., SEO, security, caching)
- Essential plugins: SEO, Google Analytics
- Optional plugins: Contact forms (e.g., Contact Form 7), e-commerce (e.g., WooCommerce), and social media integration.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics is considered an advantage.
