Upon the invitation of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, participated in the ASEAN Future Forum 2026 on 9–10 June 2026.

Held under the theme “Shaping Our Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centred,” the Forum convened regional leaders, policymakers, scholars, and stakeholders to discuss ASEAN’s future and strengthen regional cooperation.

As a panellist, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya delivered a keynote remarks, highlighting ASEAN’s comprehensive approach to peace and security through dialogue, preventive diplomacy, and peaceful dispute settlement. He also underscored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering trust and advancing ASEAN’s peace agenda through closer AIPA–ASEAN cooperation.
