The 31st AIPA Roadshow was successfully held in collaboration with the People’s National Assembly of Algeria and the University of Algiers 3 on 23 September 2026 in Algiers, Algeria, marking the first AIPA Roadshow in Africa.

Under the theme, “From Representation to Connection: Parliamentary Diplomacy in Advancing ASEAN–Algeria Relations,” the programme brought together H.E. Ahmed Badr El-Islem Belguet, Vice-President of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria; H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA; and more than 150 participants, including young parliamentarians, students, and youth, to discuss ASEAN–Algeria relations and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing mutual understanding and cooperation.

The Roadshow offered young participants an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of ASEAN, its relations with Algeria, engage in meaningful dialogue, and explore avenues for stronger ties between ASEAN and Algeria.
