On 21 October 2024, the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the German Bundestag were accredited as AIPA Observer Parliaments during the 45th AIPA General Assembly, held in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from 17 to 23 October 2024. This significant milestone reflected AIPA’s commitment to expanding parliamentary dialogue and fostering partnerships with parliaments beyond Southeast Asia, creating opportunities for greater mutual understanding and cooperation on shared interests.
