On 18 September 2026, the AIPA Secretariat, in collaboration with Bina Nusantara University (BINUS), organised the AIPA–Indonesia National Focus Group Discussion on Climate Change at BINUS @Alam Sutera, Kota Tangerang, Banten.
Bringing together Members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, policymakers, experts, relevant stakeholders, and students, the FGD served as a platform to exchange perspectives on Indonesia’s climate and development priorities. Key areas of discussion included climate governance, the energy transition, carbon markets, and carbon pricing.
Through engagement and dialogue among participants, forum also underscored the role of parliament in advancing effective climate action and supporting Indonesia’s climate commitments and sustainable development objectives through its legislative, budgetary, and oversight functions.
