On 18 May 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, attended the Dinner Reception held on the occasion of the 17th ASEAN–United States Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) Meeting, hosted by Ms. Joy Sakurai, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the United States Mission to ASEAN. The reception brought together representatives and partners to foster meaningful exchanges and strengthen ASEAN–United States relations.

The gathering also reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between ASEAN and the United States in advancing regional peace, stability, and cooperation, while providing an opportunity to enhance engagement and dialogue among partners in the region.
