On 18 February 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, held a meeting with representative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) at the AIPA Secretariat.

The meeting exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation, particularly in climate action and environmental sustainability, in line with AIPA-adopted resolutions and shared regional priorities. Discussions also explored opportunities for technical assistance and capacity building to support parliamentary roles in strengthening legislative frameworks and oversight for sustainable development.

Both sides underscored the importance of continued dialogue to advance climate resilience, energy transition, and inclusive growth across ASEAN.
