On 12 March 2026, the Roundtable Discussion on Climate Change was convened at the House of Representatives in Quezon City, Philippines, jointly organised by the House of Representatives of the Philippines and AIPA.
The Roundtable aimed to strengthen the technical and regulatory capacities of parliaments in advancing climate governance and supporting effective climate action. The discussion brought together Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff to deepen their understanding of key climate-related priorities, including renewable energy, energy transition, carbon market mechanisms and climate finance. Through dialogue and knowledge exchange, the Roundtable reinforced the important role of parliaments in shaping responsive and forward-looking climate policies.
