Under the theme of “Enhancing ASEAN Resilience through Women Leadership and Gender Responsive Parliament”, the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia hosted the Meeting of Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (WAIPA) on 5 June 2023.
Chaired by Hon. Ms. Irine Yusiana Roba Putri of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, the meeting discussed on the women’s political participation and gender-responsive parliaments in ensuring a resilient ASEAN.
As the outcome, a Draft Resolution on the issue discussed will be tabled at the upcoming 44th AIPA General Assembly.
