The House of Representatives under the leadership of Speaker Alan Peter “Compañero” Cayetano has added another historic feat in the 18th Congress as it hosts today the first virtual 11th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Caucus. Anchored on the theme, “We Heal as One: Parliamentary Cooperation Towards Mitigating Risks and Strengthening Economic Resilience in the Period of Pandemic,” this year’s meeting aims to deepen coordination among Southeast Asian-member parliaments—through dialogues and consultations—in addressing the economic impact of COVID-19 in the region. The AIPA regional parliamentary organization is composed of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. #18thCongress
