The AIPA Secretariat, in collaboration with the Parliament of Malaysia, organised the AIPA Capacity Development Workshop on 20–21 February 2025 at the Parliament Compound in Kuala Lumpur. This initiative aimed to enhance the knowledge and technical competencies of the Parliament’s Substantive Team regarding AIPA meetings and their mechanisms, enabling them to effectively support Malaysia’s AIPA Presidency.
This comprehensive two-day workshop equipped participants with an in-depth understanding of AIPA’s agenda, rules, procedures, and practices, enhanced their skills in drafting key parliamentary documents, and strengthened their capacity in providing strategic and technical support to Malaysia’s delegates at AIPA Meetings and other inter-parliamentary forums.
Since 2024, the AIPA Secretariat has been offering capacity development programs to AIPA Member Parliaments, enhancing both their understanding of AIPA and their ability to draft key documents for effective regional parliamentary diplomacy.
