🌸 27 Years of Women’s Parliamentary Voices in ASEAN 🌸 On 26 August 1998, history was made with the establishment of the Meeting of Women Parliamentarians of AIPO (WAIPO) during the 19th AIPO General Assembly, later transformed into the Women Parliamentarians of AIPA (WAIPA). For 27 years, WAIPA has continued to grow, serving as a platform for dialogue to advance women’s representation in parliaments and empowering women parliamentarians to shape policies and inclusive governance. Today, we honour not only the founding of WAIPA but also the collective achievements and shared actions that continue to drive gender equality for an inclusive and resilient ASEAN.
