On 21 September 2025, the AIPA Secretariat, in collaboration with the Parliament of Malaysia and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, hosted the 5th Model AIPA (MAIPA), continuing to empower youth participation in regional parliamentary diplomacy, in line with AIPA’s Strategic Plan Goal 4. Under the theme “Empowering Youth Participation in the Sustainability and Inclusivity Agenda,” the event was held for the first time at the Parliament of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together 60 delegates from 10 ASEAN countries. The 5th MAIPA offered youth a firsthand simulation of the AIPA General Assembly, providing valuable insights into parliamentary processes while fostering collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for a sustainable and inclusive ASEAN.
