In order to foster an inclusive space for dialogue and ensure that diverse community perspectives contribute meaningfully to Brunei Darussalam’s ongoing efforts in women’s development, the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam convened a roundtable discussion entitled “Uniting Women’s Voices: Strengthening Engagement Between Women Members of the Legislative Council, Civil Society, and Government on Women’s Leadership and Community Well-being” on 21 May 2025 at Pusat Sejarah Brunei – History Gallery, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The roundtable brought together women members of the Legislative Council, government officials, and selected leaders from women’s NGOs and civil society organisations, creating an opportunity for open exchange and collaboration. This dialogue aimed to translate community-driven insights into effective, evidence-based national strategies, while also reinforcing sustained communication between civil society and policymakers. The roundtable also enabled grassroots and sectoral voices to meaningfully shape Brunei Darussalam’s national and regional commitments to advancing women’s leadership, participation, and community well-being.
