On 22 September 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, continued his official working visit to Algeria, where he undertook a series of official engagements, including a meeting with Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of National Community Abroad, and H.E. Major General (Ret.) Abdelaziz Medjahed, Director General of the National Institute for Global Strategic Studies (INESG). The Secretary-General of AIPA also visited the Central Museum of the Army and the Martyrs’ Memorial. The engagements provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and strengthen dialogue and cooperation, while gaining further insights into Algeria’s history and heritage.

H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya is on a high-level visit to Algeria, at the invitation of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria, from 20 to 24 September 2026.
