On 21 September 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, had a meeting with H.E. Ms. Khalida Boufedeche, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, during his high-level visit to Algeria.

The meeting provided valuable opportunity to exchange views on key issues of shared interest, including in climate change, artificial intelligence, women and youth. Both sides also explored opportunities to deepen parliamentary engagement and advance meaningful cooperation between AIPA and the People’s National Assembly of Algeria.
