On 17 April 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Tulia Ackson, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, on the sidelines of the 152nd IPU Assembly in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding engagement between AIPA and the IPU and underscored the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation amidst evolving global dynamics.
