On 17 April 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, met the Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), H.E. Martin Chungong, on the margins of the 152nd IPU Assembly. Both sides reaffirmed the shared commitment to further strengthening parliamentary diplomacy amid an increasingly complex global landscape.

On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya also conveyed his appreciation and extended his farewell to H.E. Martin Chungong, who will conclude his tenure as Secretary-General of IPU this year.
