The inaugural AIPA ConNEXT focuses on advancing women’s political participation and leadership across ASEAN. Despite notable progress, women remain underrepresented in decision-making roles, holding only around 22% of parliamentary seats in the region, while globally, the gender gap in political empowerment has closed by just 22.9%.

By strengthening mentorship and expanding support networks, AIPA ConNEXT seeks to bridge generations of leaders, connecting young women and aspiring leaders with ​​experienced figures who have paved the way before them.
