On August 8, 2024, the AIPA Secretariat proudly participated in the celebration of the 57th ASEAN Day by setting up an AIPA booth at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ASEAN Day festivities included a series of activities such as an opening ceremony and an open house, which attended by over 400 visitors, including VIPs, partners, stakeholders, and invited members of the public.
The AIPA booth provided a unique opportunity for the AIPA Secretariat to engage with visitors, offering insights into the role and significance of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in fostering regional cooperation and parliamentary diplomacy. The event not only celebrated ASEAN’s achievements but also strengthened the bond between ASEAN and ASEAN entities, partners, and stakeholders.
