The 5th Meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians of AIPA (WAIPA) will be hosted by the Philippines under the theme “Advancing Gender-Transformative Parliaments Towards a Future-Ready and Inclusive ASEAN Community,” and held virtually on 27 April 2026.
The meeting will underscore the importance of gender-transformative approaches in addressing structural barriers and strengthening women’s leadership across ASEAN, while also providing a platform for ASEAN Member Parliaments to review progress on the implementation of the WAIPA Women’s Political Participation and Leadership (WPPL) Plan of Action 2024–2030 and exchange views on key priorities moving forward.
