On January 31 2024, the Secretary General of AIPA had a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib. The meeting discussed preparations for Brunei Darussalam to host the 15th AIPA Caucus this year.
The AIPA Caucus is one of the AIPA Ad-Hoc Committees that aims to provide an avenue to explore the possibilities for harmonization of laws on common issues in the region. The AIPA Caucus is also part of the AIPA’s internal mechanism to monitor the implementation status of the adopted AIPA resolutions.
