On 16 October 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, received a courtesy call by H.E. Dr. Raman Ramanouski, Ambassador of Belarus to ASEAN, at the AIPA Secretariat office.

The meeting provided an opportunity to share updates on ongoing and upcoming work, particularly preparations for the forthcoming 47th AIPA General Assembly. The discussions also highlighted the importance of upholding international law and the rules-based international order to maintain peace and security amid an increasingly complex global environment. Both sides also explored potential avenues for strengthening cooperation between AIPA and Belarus in areas of mutual interest.
