On 16 July 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, hosted a Farewell Lunch in honour of H.E. Sujiro Seam, Ambassador of the European Union to ASEAN.
The occasion was also attended by H.E. Tiffany McDonald, Ambassador of Australia to ASEAN; H.E. Ambra Dickie, Ambassador of Canada to ASEAN; and H.E. Yonetani Koji, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN.
The luncheon served as a meaningful opportunity to recognise Ambassador Seam’s dedicated service and valuable contributions to advancing ASEAN–EU relations, while also supporting closer and more meaningful engagement with AIPA. It also provided a platform for an exchange of views on the importance of continued cooperation among regional partners in promoting peace, stability, and ASEAN Vision 2045.
