On 15–17 June 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, attended the Pacific Peace and Security Dialogue 2026 in Suva, Fiji. The Dialogue convened government representatives, regional organisations, academia, civil society, and development partners to exchange perspectives on emerging security challenges and opportunities in the Pacific region.

As part of the programme, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya served as a panellist in the session ‘Regional Cooperation in the Pacific and Beyond,’ alongside representatives from the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The discussion examined the role of regionalism, cooperation, and integration in addressing shared challenges such as geopolitics, climate change, and sustainable development, while drawing lessons and experiences across regions.
