On 11 February 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, met with Hon. Maria Rachel J. Arenas, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Senior Vice Chair of the Special Committee on ASEAN Affairs, and Hon. Jonathan Keith Flores, Chair of the Study Committee on the Transformation of AIPACODD for Enhanced Cooperation on Transnational Crimes and Chairperson of the Committee on Dangerous Drugs of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.

The meeting discussed ongoing preparations for the AIPA Meetings and initiatives under the Philippine AIPA Presidency, as well as the way forward on the Transformation of AIPACODD following the Study Committee Meeting held last month in Jakarta. The discussion underscored the importance of continued coordination between the House of Representatives of the Philippines and the AIPA Secretariat in ensuring a coordinated and successful AIPA Presidency.
