USAID’s Regional Development Mission for Asia, and Thailand’s Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) marked the end of the successful USAID Wildlife Asia initiative through the Counter Wildlife Trafficking Partnership Forum to be held September 21-23, 2021. The virtual event featured insights from leaders and experts in counter wildlife trafficking; presenting issues, best practices and lessons learned, and the best way forward to stop transnational organized wildlife crime in a post-Covid world. With the theme “Towards a New Era of Partnership,” the forum was a joint collaboration with WWF, the Asian Development Bank, World Bank Global Wildlife Program, Global Environment Facility, and United Nations Development Programme.
