On 9 October, AIPA Members of Parliament participated in the 13th ASEAN-AIPA Leaders’ Interface, held during the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Ahead of the interface, a preparatory meeting was held for all AIPA Delegates to finalise the AIPA Message to be delivered during the Interface. The President of AIPA and the President of the National Assembly of Lao PDR, H.E. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, had the honor of delivering AIPA Message to the ASEAN Leaders and highlighted 7 recommendations that touched on enhancing connectivity, promoting regional stability, renewing and sustaining the traditional momentum for growth, fostering favorable conditions for development, and strengthening ASEAN’s role as a driver of regional stability and cross-border collaboration, all aimed at building a more connected, resilient, and inclusive ASEAN Community.
