From 5 to 11 August 2023, over 600 delegates from national parliaments, international bodies, and AIPA strategic partners gathered in Jakarta, Indonesia for the 44th AIPA General Assembly. Opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the 44th AIPA General Assembly successfully conducted several meetings and generated notable outcomes. The 44th AIPA General Assembly was concluded with a transfer of office of AIPA Presidency from Indonesia to Lao PDR and remarks from the incoming and outgoing President of AIPA.
