At the invitation from the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, the AIPA Secretary General participated in the 2025 Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum. The Forum was held from 3-4 February 2025 at the People’s Center, House of Representatives, Congress of the Philippines. The forum brought together parliamentarians from around the world to explore ways to strengthen collective economic security, energy security and national security amids geopolital challenges.
During the forum, the AIPA Secretary General addressed the session on “Rules-Based International Order in the Indo-Pacific: Views from the Region,” emphasizing the importance of regional unity. She reaffirmed ASEAN’s commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and inclusivity as fundamental principles that uphold a stable and predictable regional order, ensuring long-term peace and stability for future generations.
