On 7 April 2025, the IPU-CPA-AIPA Joint Study was officially launched at the 150th IPU Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Developed in collaboration by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), the study highlights the alarming rise in online gender-based violence, with 60% of women MPs from the Asia-Pacific reporting such experiences. AIPA proudly contributed to this joint effort to address such critical issues and stands in solidarity with its partners in promoting safer and more inclusive political spaces across the region.
