Laos successfully hosted the 35th General Assembly of the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Vientiane from September 14-20 2015, adopting a number of documents and resolutions aiming to enhance the AIPA’s role in building the Asean community.
Over 300 delegates from AIPA member countries, development partners, and other invited guests attended the AIPA in Vientiane where Laos was lauded for its efforts in hosting the event.
