On 7 October 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA had a meeting with H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, at the AIPA Secretariat Office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The meeting explored the potential partnership for capacity development programmes for AIPA Member Parliaments and provided an opportunity to exchange updates on preparations for the upcoming 15th ASEAN–AIPA Leaders’ Interface and the 47th AIPA General Assembly, including the 5th AIPA–ASEAN Hearing, to be held in Manila, the Philippines, in November 2026.
