On 20 September 2025, the National People’s Assembly of Algeria was granted AIPA Observer Status during the 46th AIPA General Assembly, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 16 to 22 September 2025.
This significant milestone reflected AIPA’s continued commitment to strengthening parliamentary dialogue and fostering partnerships beyond Southeast Asia, while promoting mutual understanding and cooperation on issues of shared interest.
