On 23 August 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, was interviewed by the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) during the 2026 Seminar for Parliamentarians of ASEAN Countries in Beijing, China. In the interview, he shared his perspectives on the books “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” and “People-Centred Governance: Deputies to the National People’s Congress Make a Difference,” and highlighted the importance of people-centred development, the responsibilities of parliamentarians in serving and representing the people, and the role of parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation in promoting peace, security, stability, and prosperity.
