As the continuation of the 2026 Seminar for Parliamentarians of ASEAN Countries, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, participated in the programme’s activities from 24–26 August 2026 in Hainan, China.
The programme provided opportunities to gain practical insights into Hainan’s development experience, including its agricultural, economic, technological and connectivity initiatives, while engaging in exchanges with leaders of the Hainan Provincial People’s Congress and the Qionghai Municipal People’s Congress and exploring the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. The activities also offered opportunities for mutual learning and strengthened parliamentary exchanges between China and ASEAN.
