On 26 August 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), and the delegation of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The meeting highlighted the continued partnership between AIPA and GCTP/IPTP in advancing parliamentary dialogue and cooperation on peace, tolerance and mutual understanding. Discussions also focused on strengthening practical cooperation under the existing AIPA–IPTP Memorandum of Understanding, including parliamentary exchanges, joint dialogues and participation in each other’s relevant meetings and activities.
