On 5 August 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, received a courtesy call by Mr. James Ward, Asia Director of the International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF).

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation in advancing the green and blue economy in support of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. Both sides exchanged views on regional priorities and explored opportunities for ICCF’s continued engagement in future AIPA initiatives. The discussions also underscored the importance of biodiversity conservation, marine governance, and environmental sustainability in building a resilient and sustainable ASEAN Community.
