On 25 May 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, attended the Friendship Dinner hosted by H.E. Maria Fernanda Lay, President of the National Parliament of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, in Dili, Timor-Leste, alongside President, Vice-President and Members of the AIPA-Timor-Leste National Group, Secretary General of the National Parliament, as well as Timor-Leste’s Vice Minister for ASEAN Affairs.

The evening reflected the warm friendship and close parliamentary relations between AIPA and Timor-Leste, highlighted by the exchange of commemorative gifts between both sides as a gesture of goodwill and continued cooperation.
