On 11 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, received a courtesy call by H.E. Serob Bejanyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Indonesia and ASEAN.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to further strengthening meaningful engagement between AIPA and Armenia. Both sides also exchanged views on the importance of maintaining peace and stability amid an increasingly complex global landscape, while exploring potential avenues for future cooperation.
The National Assembly of Armenia has been granted observer status by AIPA in 2023 at the 44th AIPA General Assembly in Jakarta, Indonesia. AIPA continues to place importance to fostering productive engagement with its Observer Parliaments.
