On 9 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, at the Parliament House, Singapore. The meeting was also joined by Mr. Siow Peng Han, Clerk of the Parliament.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to further enhancing parliamentary cooperation in the region. The discussion also covered updates on AIPA’s recent and future initiatives, including the 22nd AIPA Roadshow—the first of its kind hosted in Singapore. Furthermore, both sides also discussed preparations for Singapore’s AIPA Presidency in 2027, which will coincide with the 50th Anniversary of AIPA.
