The Parliamentary Training Course on “Legislative and Policy Measures to Prevent and Counter the Use of Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies for Terrorism and Violent Extremism Purposes” is being convened from 11–13 February 2026 in Manila, jointly hosted by the House of Representatives of the Philippines, AIPA, and United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Programme Office, with support from the Shura Council of the State of Qatar.

The programme brings together parliamentarians and parliamentary staff from across ASEAN, along with participants from the UNOCT Coordination Mechanism for Parliamentary Assemblies on Counter-Terrorism, to strengthen parliamentary capacities in addressing evolving security challenges posed by AI and emerging technologies.
