H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, paid a courtesy meeting with Hon. Maria Rachel J. Arenas, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Senior Vice Chairperson of the Special Committee on ASEAN Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, and Hon. Jonathan Keith Flores, Chair of the Advisory Council on Dangerous Drugs (AIPACODD) and the Study Committee on the Transformation of AIPACODD for Enhanced Cooperation on Transnational Crimes.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on AIPA’s key priorities and initiatives for 2026, as well as on ways to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation under the Philippine AIPA Presidency. Both sides underscored the importance of close coordination between the House of Representatives of the Philippines and the AIPA Secretariat in supporting a smooth and effective Presidency.
