In preparation for the 45th AIPA General Assembly, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Lao PDR, with the support from UNDP, organized a capacity development program for Members of Parliament and Secretariat staff from 19 to 29 August 2024 in Vang Vieng and Vientiane, Lao PDR.
The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of parliamentarians and secretariat staff, focusing on procedural, documentation, and coordination skills required for hosting the AIPA General Assembly. The AIPA Secretariat contributed by offering its expertise on AIPA rules and procedures, enhancing the participants’ ability to support delegations and the event’s overall success.
