On 21 July 2023, the AIPA Secretariat received a courtesy meeting from the Mission of Japan to ASEAN at the AIPA Secretariat in Jakarta. The courtesy meeting discussed on the preparation for the Japanese Delegation for the forthcoming 44th AIPA General Assembly. Japan has participated in the AIPA General Assembly since 1980 and this year marks the 50th commemorative year of ASEAN-Japan relations.
