On 12 August 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), conveyed a congratulatory letter to H.E. Ruben Rubinyan on his election as President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

In his letter, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya highlighted Armenia’s meaningful engagement with AIPA as an Observer. He also expressed confidence that the growing ties between AIPA and the National Assembly of Armenia will continue to deepen under H.E. Ruben Rubinyan’s leadership, fostering closer parliamentary engagement and cooperation between AIPA and Armenia.
