On 1 September 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, held a Courtesy Meeting with Hon. Maria Rachel J. Arenas, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines, in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines.

Held on the occasion of the Capacity Development Programme for the Secretariat of the House of Representatives of the Philippines in preparation for the 47th AIPA General Assembly, the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange updates on the preparations for the forthcoming 15th ASEAN-AIPA Leaders’ Interface and 47th AIPA General Assembly, while reaffirming the continued collaboration between AIPA and the Philippine Parliament towards a successful General Assembly.
