On 12 October 2026, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary-General of AIPA, received a courtesy call by H.E. Marina Rafti, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to ASEAN, at the AIPA Secretariat.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on areas of shared interest and explore avenues for continued dialogue and cooperation between AIPA and the EU, including in the context of strengthening parliamentary cooperation ahead of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN–EU Dialogue Relations in 2027.
