Observed annually on 12 August, International Youth Day recognises and celebrates young people while raising awareness of the challenges and opportunities they face.
This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” highlights that while youth may live in different realities, their aspirations for dignity, opportunity, meaningful participation, decent work, quality education, and a sustainable future are shared across borders. AIPA recognises the important role of young people in shaping ASEAN’s future and remains committed to fostering greater youth participation, dialogue, and engagement in regional parliamentary cooperation.
